About the position

The Media Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of video production and visual media for the church. This role focuses on creating engaging content that enhances worship services, events, and church communications while fostering a welcoming and inspiring environment through visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce video content for worship services, education, events, and social media.
• Collaborate with ministry leaders to create promotional videos and engaging content.
• Edit and post videos on various platforms, ensuring they align with the church's mission and vision.
• Collaborate in the management of live streaming of worship services and events, ensuring high-quality audio and video.
• Work with Sunday morning staff to troubleshoot any technical issues of live broadcasts to maintain a seamless experience.
• Oversee the creation and display of visual elements.
• Coordinate with graphic designers and other team members to ensure cohesive visual branding.
• Maintain and manage all video equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
• Stay informed about new technologies and tools to enhance the church's media capabilities.
• Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers or staff for video production and visual support.
• Schedule and coordinate rehearsals and technical runs for videos, services, and events.
• Work closely with marketing and communications team, worship leaders, pastors, and other ministry leaders to create an engaging media experience.
• Participate in planning meetings to align visual content with sermon themes and church events.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video production and editing (familiarity with software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Strong understanding of live-streaming technology and equipment (familiarity with ProPresenter).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A creative mindset with an eye for design and detail.
• Familiarity with church culture and a passion for ministry.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva).
• Knowledge of lighting and sound equipment.
• Previous experience in a church or non-profit setting.
