About the position
The Med Tech position at The Bayshore on Hilton Head Island is a full-time role focused on providing direct nursing care to residents in a senior living environment. The Med Tech will work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, assisting residents with daily activities and ensuring their medical and behavioral needs are met. This role is integral to promoting an independent lifestyle for residents and involves collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and promote independent lifestyles.
- Identify resident medical and behavioral changes and develop care plans.
- Monitor and reassess care plans for each resident.
- Provide daily reports to the Director of Health Services regarding community conditions and resident needs.
- Deliver nursing care according to physician's orders and established nursing practices.
- Coordinate nursing care with other disciplines and ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services are provided.
Requirements
- Med aide certification or similar experience.
- Willingness to be available for emergencies regarding the community.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
