About the position
The Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a medical-surgical setting. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. This is a full-time, contract position with a competitive weekly pay range and the possibility of extension after the initial 12-week period.
Responsibilities
- Consult and coordinate with facility health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer and record prescribed medications.
- Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
Requirements
- Current RN License in Iowa or Compact RN License where applicable.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- 1 to 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Tele course preferred.
