About the position
The IT Specialist position at KBR involves providing medical support services under the Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) program for the Department of State. The role focuses on the administration of various data systems, including hardware and software, while developing core competencies in IT systems management. This entry-level position requires routine assignments under direct supervision, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Administer one or more data systems including computer systems hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Maintain, install, upgrade, and configure data systems.
- Administer operating systems and maintain basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
- Interface with business unit Controller and Marketing organizations to pursue or control business opportunities.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Must be medically fit and willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical activities as required.
- Possess a U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance or Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
