About the position
The Medical Director for Home Health and Hospice at MultiCare is responsible for overseeing the quality of care provided to patients receiving Home Health and Hospice services. This role includes providing medical leadership for clinical and business planning, medical quality assessment, assurance, and continuing medical education. The position is integral to ensuring high standards of patient care across the care continuum.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality of care provided to patients in Home Health and Hospice services.
- Provide medical leadership for clinical and business planning.
- Conduct medical quality assessment and assurance.
- Facilitate continuing medical education for staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine.
- Licensed in the State of Washington as a doctor of medicine or osteopathy.
- Current Board Certification is required.
- Hospice or Palliative Care Board Certification is preferred.
- Current Pierce County Medical Society member.
- Current CPR certification.
- Hospice or Palliative Medicine experience is required.
- Current Washington state driver's license and proof of a safe driving record.
