About The Position

Calculus-based course, which introduces basic principles of physics. Detailed topics covered: one-dimensional motion, vectors, motion in two and three dimensions, force and motion, kinetic energy and work, potential energy, conservation of energy, collisions and momentum, rotational motion, simple harmonic motion, torque, angular momentum, and gravitation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the subject field.
  • Recent scholarly activity related to the course content.
  • CV.

  • Evidence of Good Teaching (for external applicants).
  • Verification of highest degree (for external applicants).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures for the Mechanics course.
  • Manage class size of 80 students.
  • Utilize in-person mode of delivery.
  • Potentially perform marking and grading, and coordination of large classes or multi-section courses as per collective agreement articles 28.2 and 28.3.
