The Mechanical Engineering Lead position at Actalent, Inc. involves overseeing the completion of engineering drawings and collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient production planning. Responsibilities

• Schedule completion of drawings per commitment to customer's contract or purchase order.
• Communicate with customers and engineering firms to gain approval of general arrangement design.
• Collaborate with operations department to transfer engineering packages to production planning personnel.
• Develop and implement new standards and procedures that will increase turnaround of engineering packages to customer for approval and to operations team for manufacturing.
• Utilize current knowledge of Solidworks design/drafting program to improve performance in the areas of: Standards, Increased throughput, Incorporation of data.
• Meet weekly with management to report on project schedules.
• Communicate with customer's management and/or installation companies on issues of equipment operation, proper installation, maintenance, etc.
• Maintain the center of excellence for all drawing and documentation practices and services, including project analysis and report generation for existing applications.
• Collaborate with internal resources and corporate resources to establish and maintain design and drawing standards.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills
• Working knowledge of Solidworks design tools and programs, Driveworks, PDM
• Strong sense of time management and prioritization
