About the position
The position involves developing engineering changes and drawings for complex equipment under general supervision. The role requires applying sound engineering design logic to create innovative solutions, with a focus on drafting quality and accuracy in design documentation. The candidate will be responsible for creating CAD models, product structures in PDM systems, and performing tolerance studies, while also incorporating reliability and quality analysis techniques during the design process.
Responsibilities
- Develop engineering changes and engineering drawings for complex equipment.
- Create proper part CAD models and product structures in PDM systems.
- Prepare complex design layouts and schematics based on rough sketches or instructions.
- Ensure drafting quality in design documentation and check drawings of other personnel for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform tolerance studies on tools for proper function of equipment.
- Utilize expertise in materials and methods, and apply knowledge of manufacturing and production processes to designs.
- Incorporate reliability, HSE, and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.
Requirements
- Completion of an Associate's degree in drafting or a similar discipline.
- 7 years of related experience or 9 years of related drafting/design experience.
- Expertise in AutoCAD and Solidworks for drafting/design.
- Experience with electrical components.
