MECHANIC (H)

About the position

The Mechanic is responsible for the efficient, cost-effective repair and preventative maintenance of equipment, buildings, and facilities across a multi-plant site. This includes installation of machinery, fabrication of structures, and accurate documentation in support of operational continuity.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment supporting plant operations
• Install machinery, pipes, and structural components across facilities
• Fabricate stairways, catwalks, and support structures as needed
• Maintain stockroom inventory using standardized withdraw slips
• Support health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Participate in HSE activities, audits, and safety committee meetings
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and efficiently
• Promote a positive team environment and support plant success
• Engage in quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial plant setting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical skills
• Ability to work in a team-based, safety-driven environment
