About The Position

To ensure the highest level of service possible to Outpost’s internal and external customers. To ensure a clean, neat, and attractive appearance of meat case and display areas.

Responsibilities

  • Treat people fairly, consistently, and with respect.
  • Ensure efficient, informative, and friendly service according to established customer service vision and standards.
  • Greet customers at meat counter and assist them in a timely manner.
  • Fill customer’s orders accurately and promptly.
  • Follow standards of production.
  • Provide product information and educational materials to customers and staff.
  • Be knowledgeable of products to make recommendations to customers.
  • Grind, wrap and price meat.
  • Stock and rotate products.
  • See that unsellable items are properly recorded and disposed.
  • Accurately record credits, losses, and transfers.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of meat displays, coolers, equipment, cutting room, and storage areas.
  • Follow proper procedures in closing down and cleaning meat department at end of shift.
  • Follow safety guidelines in regards to lifting, cutting equipment, baler, pallet jack operation, etc.
  • Participate in inventory.
  • Attend department meetings as scheduled.
  • Abide by all Co-op policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other company documents.
  • Keep store orderly and clean.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by department coordinator or supervisory staff.
