About the position

The Measure Technician at Stone Systems will be responsible for providing accurate digital templates and exceptional service during the measurement process. This role involves traveling to client locations to capture necessary data and measurements, ensuring timely submission of documentation, and maintaining communication with customers throughout the templating and installation process. The technician will work independently, adhering to safety regulations while meeting performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate digital templates and excellent customer service during the measurement process.
  • Travel to client locations to capture required data and measurements using company software.
  • Schedule and measure jobs daily to ensure timely template submission to the shop.
  • Complete work orders with detailed notations for measurements, polished edges, cutouts, and other specifications.
  • Set expectations and educate customers on industry guidelines and service provider standards.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards related to timely measurements and documentation uploads.
  • Communicate professionally with customers to provide critical information regarding templating and installation processes.
  • Offer purchasable upgrades to customers to enhance product delivery.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Installation Managers on job-related topics.
  • Follow all job site safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience working with home center measures.
  • 1 year of experience with 2D laser templating and DXF files.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Knowledge of stone products and differences between natural and engineered stone.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with customers.
  • Ability to travel locally 100% of the time for long distances between projects.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift/carry materials or equipment up to 20 pounds.
