About the position

The MDM Lead Engineer at TEKsystems is responsible for developing and architecting Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Informatica and Reltio. This role requires a seasoned technologist with over 6 years of experience in MDM, focusing on implementing data governance structures and policies. The position offers a hybrid work model for local candidates and is fully remote for others, emphasizing collaboration and leadership in driving business transformation through effective data management practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement solutions leveraging the Reltio/Informatica MDM platform in a data lake/big data environment.
• Perform low-level design, configuration, monitoring, deployment, and implementation of Informatica/Reltio MDM platform.
• Provide MDM thought leadership to customers to drive value and operational efficiencies.
• Assist with MDM Process Design and implementation planning.
• Implement strategies for Enterprise Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management.
• Handle PHI, PCI, and PII data classifications and regulations.
• Collaborate with data governance stakeholders to design and configure business rules for data validation and standardization.
• Apply best practices for Data Quality policies and procedures.
• Support the development of internal data integration frameworks and workflows.
• Install Informatica/Reltio MDM hub and develop user exits, match rules, and IDD.
• Develop MDM-based web services using SIF.
• Model data domains such as Party, Account, Contract, and Product.
• Lead customer workshop sessions to elicit requirements and build proof of concepts (POCs).
• Performance tuning of applications, databases, and Informatica MDM platform.
• Integrate business applications with Informatica MDM hub using batch processes and message queues.
• Lead and collaborate with offshore team members.

Requirements

• Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Math.
• 10+ years of total IT experience with at least 5 years in the MDM domain using Informatica and Reltio.
• Strong understanding of MDM, Data Quality, Data Governance, and BI concepts.
• Proven experience with Service Oriented and Event Driven Architectures (SOA/EDA), JMS messaging, SOAP, and RESTful services.
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executives and IT management.
• Informatica MDM Certification and Reltio MDM certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience in IDQ and Informatica ETL (PowerCenter 9.x and later).
• Experience implementing Data Governance using Informatica, Reltio, or Collibra.
• Experience in implementing MDM solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Ability to collaborate with sales teams on sales strategy for Informatica MDM solutions.
• Strong expertise in data engineering on AWS/Azure/GCP platforms.
• Background in Big Data technology or Data Lakehouse.
• Good understanding of Oracle ERP (R12+/Oracle Fusion).
