About the position

Gundersen Health System is seeking a Neuro-Oncologist to join our outstanding neurology and oncology teams. Must be BC in neurology and fellowship trained in neuro-oncology. Your practice will be a mix of .5 FTE general neurology, and .5 FTE neuro-oncology divided between the two teams. Opportunity to increase neuro-oncology time as you build your practice. Research can be supported. Join a neurology team of 14 physicians and 5 APC staff who offer multiple subspecialty services; a medical oncology team of 6 physicians and 5 APC staff; a hematology and oncology team of 4 physicians and 4 APC staff; and a radiation oncology team of 4 physicians and 2 APC staff. Our radiology team has 2 neuro-radiologists on staff. No neurology call required. Robust nursing support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide neuro-oncology care to patients.
  • Participate in general neurology practice.
  • Collaborate with neurology and oncology teams.
  • Supervise advanced practice clinicians.
  • Provide outreach service as part of the role.
  • Teach students, residents, fellows, or clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Board certified in neurology.
  • Fellowship trained in neuro-oncology.
  • Completed an accredited graduate medical training program.
  • Ability to obtain a license to practice in a multi-state region with no restrictions.
