About the position

Mathnasium, located in Marina, San Francisco, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Learning Center Manager. If you're a recent college graduate or a professional with a background in mathematics, sciences, engineering, communications, or teaching we want to hear from you. At Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center, we believe in teaching math in a way that makes sense to students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Our mission is to empower students to gain confidence in their math knowledge and improve their overall math education. We focus on strengthening math fundamentals and building number sense to help our students succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the center Owner to manage sales, enrollment, and marketing activities.
  • Administer math assessments to diagnose learning gaps and create tailored learning plans for students.
  • Successfully enroll students in the Mathnasium program, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Excel in interpersonal communication, anticipating questions, and proactively solving problems.
  • Lead marketing efforts to create a supportive community within our center and spread the word about Mathnasium.
  • Support the Center Owner in building strong relationships with local communities and schools.
  • Drive local awareness of Mathnasium offerings through market development initiatives.
  • Manage center social media accounts and website.
  • Promote Mathnasium through collaborations, partnerships, events, media coverage, and PR.
  • Foster relationships with schools, PTA and PTO organizations, and local school districts to provide supplemental educational services.
  • Act as a Mathnasium ambassador, ensuring that every student and family receives exceptional service throughout their journey.
  • Engage positively with parents, building rapport and trust, and addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Care deeply about each parent's and student's learning goals, discussing progress through various channels.
  • Solicit and act on parent feedback to enhance the student experience.

Requirements

  • Recent college graduate or professional with a degree in mathematics, sciences, engineering, communications, or teaching.
  • Strong foundational math skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the United States K-12 education system.
  • 2+ years of prior customer service experience.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications, as well as data entry.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, attention to detail, and reliability.
  • Desire to grow within the company in a leadership capacity.
