About the position
As a Math Tutor at Mathnasium of Apex, you will play a crucial role in helping students from 2nd to 12th grade master math concepts in an engaging and supportive environment. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to work around your availability while making a significant impact on students' learning experiences. You will receive comprehensive training in the Mathnasium Method™, enabling you to deliver effective and individualized instruction that fosters a love for math among students.
Responsibilities
- Teach and tutor students in the center using the Mathnasium Method™.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver engaging, individualized math instruction.
- Help students track their progress and celebrate their achievements.
- Become proficient in digital resources and materials provided by Mathnasium.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional learning environment.
Requirements
- Passion for math and teaching.
- Confidence in math skills up to Pre-Calculus.
- Ability to balance various tasks in a lively and interactive setting.
- Willingness to complete a math proficiency test and pass a background check.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in teaching or tutoring math (entry level acceptable).
- Ability to work at least 3 shifts per week during specified hours.
