The Materials Associate position is a full-time role within the Enterprise Corporate - Supply Chain: Operations department at Carolinas Medical Center. The role is responsible for processing transactions related to the receiving of physical goods from suppliers, returned goods from customer departments, stock replenishments, and filling customer orders. This involves accurately executing transactions within the management system using both PC and RF scanner technologies. The associate will review and verify all documentation for accuracy, operate powered and non-powered equipment safely, and ensure goods are transported and stored to prevent damage. Key responsibilities include supervising the receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies, ensuring secure handling and storage, removing non-functional items, and maintaining clean and orderly work and storage areas. The role also emphasizes safe work practices, compliance with safety regulations (department, System, and OSHA), and good housekeeping. A daily inspection checklist is required when using powered equipment.
