About the position

The Materials and Activities Coordinator is a key position for the Amentum team within Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. This position will support the facility maintenance team primarily with many different responsibilities along with supporting our key customer events through activities coordination. Generally, the M&A Coordinator works with site facility leaders ensuring coordination of warehouse activities such as records control and purchasing of components. Takes precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Evaluates inventory on hand, prepares and reviews distribution documents. Manages salvage of damaged or used material. Screens and supports the hiring process through onboarding, training activities, limited support of the employee performance process, and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action for warehouse personnel. May participate in planning personnel-safety and protection activities. This position will also support but is not limited to arranging and supporting the flow of equipment, materials, parts, assemblies, and other materials according to schedules or priorities, and compiles and keeps manual or computerized records. This position will check schedules and related information while conferring with others to determine requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates, according to priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to verify conformance to specifications. Arranges transfer of materials to meet schedules. Computes amount of material required to complete jobs. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process reports, and status and location of materials. May move or transport materials. May arrange for repair and assembly of material or part. This position will also support the coordination of vendors via subcontracts, and coordinator for the site. Collaborates with management in the preparation of proposal pre-work, and post award execution. Participates in establishing the initial expectations to be required from subcontractors and addresses request for quote requirements for parts. Notifies appropriate management of potential non-compliance and other problems that could have an adverse impact to the company and site. Reviews subcontract modifications and proposals for completeness, compliance, and accuracy. Supports the process for subcontractor payment when necessary, participating in dispute and issue or concern resolution. This role also works with the facility maintenance leaders and customer to ensure all the required staff and materials are available for all facility activities such as plant tours, or customer visits ensuring rooms or space is reserved for the events, along with any promotional materials are developed and distributed in advance of the site visits. Makes necessary transportation arrangements to and from site activities. Able to coordinate transport to the site from local airport or hotels along with food preparation with vendors per customer expectations. This position will also assist with training the support staff and volunteers for events and activities and supervises them during the events to make sure they follow directions and protocols. This role is highly visible requiring a high degree of computing and technological savvy along with great customer service skills and the ability to understand warehousing functions.
