About the position

Aquila is seeking a Material Requirements Planning Specialist to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Material Requirements Planning Specialist will support the combination of research, proof-of-concept test beds, and system engineering/application efforts focused on the goals of enhancing the capacity, the robustness to interference, and the flexibility of future generations of communications satellites, as well as beyond line-of-sight radio communications systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assure that product information depicted on configuration documentation is accurate
  • Coordinate purchasing of required components and hardware
  • Identify alternate vendors for obsolete parts
  • Develop purchase requisition for required components
  • Receive components and maintain inventory database in Parts and Vendors
  • Assemble kits of parts as subsystems are developed
  • Work with staff to identify potential parts manufacturing and quality issues
  • Oversee Return Material Authorization processes
  • Assist staff in preparing cost and budget estimates

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance
  • Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts
  • 10 years Electrical/Electronics/Electronic component procurement
  • 10 years Creating and updating documentation
  • 10 years Interfacing with high-rel PCB fabrication and assembly vendors
  • 10 years Knowledge of the Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP)
  • 10 years Prior experience working with Government Purchasing guidelines and Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • 10 years Procurement of PCB components
  • 10 years Materials/ Materials Management
  • 10 years Program/Project Management OR Analysis
  • 10 years Maintains Master Schedules
  • 10 years Production Management

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity or previous experience with the AEHF Universal Test Terminal (AUST-T) and the AEHF Satellite Simulator (SatSim)
  • Familiarity with Protected Tactical Waveform (PTW) Test Terminal
