Requirements

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Ability to understand and support company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Possess good communication and reasoning skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions whether written or oral.
  • Proper operation of hoists and cranes in a safe manner and complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
  • Operate company computer systems.
  • Operate general hand tools.
  • Operate shop floor equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Associate performs all safety checks at the start of shift on all cranes and tools, documents as necessary and continues to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
  • Read production work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required.
  • Examine material received, verify part numbers, and check for discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
  • Set up and process material on the Circle Shear, Punch Press, Square Shear, and Fiber Laser as required.
  • Skid raw material steel per job in preparation for the metal spinning operations.
  • Perform inspections using Quality Assurance procedures and work instructions.
  • Assignments can change frequently from general cleaning, sorting parts, and general housekeeping.
