About The Position

SRCTec, LLC is seeking a Material Handling Specialist to safely load/unload materials, operate equipment, ensure inventory accuracy, and follow safety standards across multiple facilities. This role involves utilizing material handling equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations, and maintaining accurate transactions within MRP software. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, performing cycle counts, and ensuring a clean work environment. The position requires a professional, customer-focused approach and effective communication skills, with opportunities to improve processes and participate in the 6S program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory or production environments.
  • A valid, clean driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience; no DWIs or suspensions.
  • Proficiency in basic PC skills, with the ability to read, write, and follow standard work instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more frequently, with or without accommodation.
  • Completion of Forklift Safety, ESD, and ISO awareness training upon hire.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with material handling equipment (fork truck, lift truck, pallet jack, shrink wrap machine) is preferred.
  • Experience with hazardous material handling.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload materials from vehicles, transporting them between SRC facilities in an organized and timely manner.
  • Verify accuracy and report any equipment issues immediately.
  • Utilize material handling equipment—such as powered fork trucks, lift trucks, pallet jacks, balers, and shrink wrap machines—safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, which may involve bending, stretching, stooping, lifting, and stepping.
  • Follow established material handling processes, including timekeeping, attendance, OSHA requirements, and the use of handheld/scanning devices.
  • Uphold company policies, dress codes, and codes of conduct.
  • Ensure accurate and timely transactions within MRP software, supporting efficient production and warehouse management operations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, assist with cycle counting, and manage materials across multiple facilities in a manufacturing setting.
  • Conduct basic research to identify and resolve issues, such as unit of measure (UOM) discrepancies, transfer errors, and vendor pack counts.
  • Perform cycle counts, safeguard assets, and help keep work areas and common areas clean.
  • Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers, working both independently and collaboratively to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to improve processes and assist with implementing improvement projects.
  • Participate in 6S program and help maintain cleanliness in common areas.
