About the position
The position involves operating forklifts and other machinery to handle materials efficiently in a warehouse or industrial setting. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness in the work area while managing inventory and assisting in loading and unloading materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items.
- Signal machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
- Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
- Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.
- Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of material handling experience.
- 2+ years of forklift experience.
- Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with Unit Load Concept, in-process handling, and shipping/receiving.
