About The Position

As a Material Handler with BW Packaging, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day material flow operations, including shipping and receiving, processing global shipments, locating parts, and pulling parts for manufacturing. In this role, you will serve as the main resource for planning and coordinating daily shipments, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring materials and parts are efficiently staged, stored, and moved throughout the warehouse to support seamless manufacturing and assembly operations. You will also be expected to problem-solve proactively, communicate professionally, and oversee all associated transactions to maintain accuracy and efficiency across site operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of shipping and receiving experience
  • Experience working with LTL and parcel shipments
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately receive, inspect, and process incoming and outgoing shipments, including global shipments, comparing items and quantities against freight bills and maintaining all associated records.
  • Receive, identify, store, and locate materials and parts in designated locations using appropriate identification methods and ERP system transactions.
  • Pull, stage, and distribute parts and materials to support production, manufacturing, and repair orders.
  • Pick, pack, label, and ship spare parts and customer orders according to specifications, coordinating with carriers as needed.
  • Perform daily cycle counts, resolve inventory discrepancies, and maintain data integrity within the ERP system across all stocking locations.
  • Manage return parts promptly and coordinate parts flow through to end-user completion, including coordination with inside and outside services.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to safely move materials within the warehouse and plant.
  • Serve as a main resource for planning and problem-solving day-to-day shipment and material flow operations, communicating professionally across shifts and departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper handling, labeling, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste per applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
