About The Position

Vericast is seeking a Material Handler for their 2nd shift operations. This role is responsible for receiving all incoming merchandise, delivering it to the appropriate person or location, and rotating inventory. The position is in a temperature-controlled, bright, and clean manufacturing printing team-based environment. The job requires a high level of accuracy in record-keeping, computer data entry, and physical inventories. The Material Handler will also work with vendors and operate within the location's safety and security procedures, demonstrating the company's Core Values and utilizing Performance Excellence principles for continuous improvement. Compliance with internal and external audits, as well as safety and security policies, is essential.

Requirements

  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Must have keyboard skills and be computer literate
  • Must be able to learn quickly with on the job training
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and a high level of team work
  • Must be certifiable on Forklift and Stock-picker operations
  • Valid driver's license as may be required to drive delivery truck
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and 70 lbs on occasion.
  • Regular standing, kneeling, bending, stooping and walking 8-10 hours per day.
  • Safety shoes and hearing protection are required.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving all incoming merchandise and delivering it to the appropriate person/location.
  • Rotating inventory and delivering stock to workstations.
  • Verifying accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and maintaining related records.
  • Writing receiving reports for all merchandise that comes into the building.
  • Writing daily issue reports.
  • Delivering all merchandise to the intended recipient.
  • Delivering supplies and packages to employees as needed.
  • Pulling and moving stock to workstations.
  • Keeping inventory of stock pulled.
  • Rotating inventory.
  • Moving boxes to and from shelves.
  • Unloading pallets.
  • Loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • Shredding items when necessary.
  • Dumping trash.
  • Cleaning and restocking workstation as necessary.
  • Working with vendors and operating within the locations safety and security procedures.
  • Proactive in daily work responsibilities.
  • Demonstrating the company's Core Values at all times.
  • Using Performance Excellence principles to continuously improve effectiveness, efficiency, products and procedures.
  • Participating on improvement teams, recommending and implementing improvement ideas and participating in training and other activities to keep up to date on processes, information, etc.
  • Supporting and complying with internal and external audits, to include providing information, performing assigned tasks to ensure compliance, and preparing and maintaining evidence that key duties identified as internal controls have been performed.
