About The Position
The Material Handler ensures materials are properly staged, prepared, and ready for distribution by performing various tasks related to material preparation, order fulfillment, verification, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean work area.
Requirements
- 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
- Ability to learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
- Proficient in reading tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
- Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Willingness to learn and navigate an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply logical problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Deburring, packing, export preparation, receiving, and shipping of materials.
- Pulling material from stock to fill sales orders accurately.
- Verifying materials, packing for shipment, and recording necessary information on sales orders.
- Safely operating powered industrial equipment (i.e. combilift, side loader, forklift) to move and stage materials.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations.
