About the position
As a Material Handler Level 1 at Honeywell, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and storage of materials within the facility. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that materials are readily available for production. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will be key to your success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying accuracy against purchase orders or invoices
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control
- Retrieve materials from storage areas and deliver them to production areas as needed
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and labeling
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and perform regular cycle counts
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using inventory management systems
Nice-to-haves
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling role
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
