About The Position

This position is responsible for safely performing job functions at the highest level of quality and providing accurate paperwork and record keeping. It requires knowledge of Hazardous Waste Handling and adherence to all company rules, policies, and OSHA/EPA regulations, including full compliance with RCRA requirements. This role will also lead and oversee a team of 10–15 warehouse/logistics employees to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of warehouse experience that includes: Industrial forklift, forklift certification preferred, Material handling, Shipping and receiving, MRP/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Forklift experience preferred, must pass certification requirements within the first 30 days of employment
  • Must be familiar with other warehouse equipment to include pallet jacks, docking stations and scales
  • Must be able to work any shift and be flexible to work overtime, as needed
  • HazMat experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of LTL, small parcel, exports, UPS/FedEx
  • Proficiency with computer-based software, specifically with Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid and clean state driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred
  • HazMat experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pick and stage material for production lines
  • Receive inbound shipments; ship outbound material; all related / corresponding activities
  • Warehouse/Oracle administration tasks
  • Cycle count and physical inventory; able to maintain FIFO procedures for time sensitive materials
  • Housekeeping and other 5S activities
  • Properly store all warehouse materials
  • Must be knowledgeable of Hazardous Waste Handling
  • Responsibility and adherence of RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) requirements
  • Use computers and scanners to perform transactions
  • Interpret work order and sales order material / delivery requirements
  • Follow and abide by defined business process and procedures
  • Work with members of Procurement and Accounting teams to purchase order and invoicing issues and improve processes
  • Communicate professionally with others
  • Responsible for accurate and complete inventory transactions in Oracle
  • Investigate and correct transactions, as required
  • Maintain a safe work area, participate in safety training and follow all defined OSHA guidelines
  • Report all accidents / incidents and unsafe work conditions to supervisor
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams
  • Assist with the training of other material handlers
  • Work to gain knowledge of all warehouse activities
  • Performs tasks accurately and timely, work with limited supervision
  • Participate in the updates / maintenance of organizational KPI’s
  • Other Duties as assigned
