About the position
The Material Handler II at McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc. is responsible for supporting both internal and external customers through the accurate receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment of materials. This role is critical in maintaining inventory levels for production and ensuring the efficient operation of material support equipment within the assigned operations facility.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently locate and pull materials/supplies as listed on production/sales orders.
- Stock assigned production areas to maintain inventory levels for production.
- Accurately verify parts and quantities and complete Bills of Lading (BOLs) for receiving and shipping materials.
- Operate all material handling equipment including Stand-up, Sit-down, Combi, Lancer, and Tugger.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures and 6S standards.
- Conduct receiving operations.
Requirements
- One (1) year applicable position experience or an evaluated equivalent.
- Ability to become forklift certified to operate a forklift/tugger.
- Outstanding transaction discipline with quantity accuracy.
- Experience with ERP systems and JDE (Dodge Center Only).
- Effective communication skills to work cross-functionally with various internal customers.
Nice-to-haves
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) or more years of applicable position experience.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing environment and processes.
