About The Position

The Material Coordinator performs support tasks for the manufacturing plant. This role involves data entry into SAP, resolving part shortages, receiving and issuing manufactured parts, assisting with daily tasks to ensure productivity, identifying parts using UKG and drawings, updating management on shortage statuses, investigating missing stock parts, and maintaining a shortage list for the shipping management team. The position also requires working with various departments to resolve shortages and ensure timely completion of jobs and segments, and informing shipping of any findings to help segments ship on time. Employees are responsible for complying with Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures and ensuring sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • UKG/SAP experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.   • Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Responsibilities

  • Entering data into SAP database about quantities of issued and transferred parts
  • Resolving job/segments shortage discrepancies
  • Receiving manufactured parts into stock and issue out to upcoming jobs
  • Assisting in daily tasks to assure productivity efficiency
  • Identifying parts through the use of UKG and drawings
  • Update daily Sr. Management on status of shortages on the segments
  • Investigate missing stock parts needed for work orders and sales orders
  • Monitor and keep an updated shortage list available for the Shipping Management team
  • Work with every department to resolve shortages to close job/segments in time
  • Inform shipping of any findings to help segments ship on time
  • Comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures
  • Ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
