About The Position

The Master Plumber is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced plumbing work involving the installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, and design of residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems. This position requires a valid Master Plumber license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. The Master Plumber serves as the responsible license holder, ensures compliance with all applicable plumbing codes and regulations, supervises plumbing personnel, and provides technical leadership on projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Active Master Plumber license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners
  • Minimum 8+ years of plumbing experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of Texas plumbing codes, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Strong experience in commercial, industrial, and residential plumbing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
  • Experience managing multiple projects and personnel simultaneously
  • Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and jobsite safety practices
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of water supply, sanitary sewer, drainage, vent, and gas piping systems
  • Act as the responsible Master Plumber for company operations in accordance with Texas state regulations
  • Ensure all plumbing work complies with Texas plumbing codes, local ordinances, and safety standards
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise plumbing projects from start to completion
  • Review blueprints, specifications, engineering drawings, and project plans
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to Journeyman and Apprentice Plumbers
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and quality control reviews of plumbing installations
  • Troubleshoot complex plumbing system issues and develop effective solutions
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and clients
  • Assist with estimating, material procurement, and project scheduling
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, work orders, and project documentation
  • Ensure jobsite safety compliance and adherence to OSHA standards
  • Train, mentor, and develop plumbing personnel to support workforce growth
  • Participate in business development activities, customer consultations, and project planning as needed
