About The Position

Crownstone Equipment is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Master Level Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our service team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, working with a variety of machinery, and takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs that keep our customers’ equipment running safely and efficiently. The Service Technician will diagnose, maintain, and repair gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, collaborating with the service team to ensure repairs are completed correctly and on time. Requirements

  • 1–10+ years of experience as a technician in heavy construction, diesel, forklift, or farm equipment industries.
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • General knowledge and familiarity with computer and information systems.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical/trade school preferred.
  • Direct experience with Bobcat or other heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Heavy Equipment, Diesel, or Forklift Technician certifications.
  • DOT Medical Card preferred.
  • Familiarity with OEM repair procedures, warranty claims, and work order tracking.
  • OSHA or other workplace safety certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on gasoline- and diesel-powered heavy equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs according to OEM standards.
  • Execute the Service Work Order Repair Process, including documentation of labor, parts, and repair details in CDK.
  • Notify management of any unforeseen issues or repairs outside the original scope.
  • Test equipment post-repair to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including proper care of tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate professionally with other technicians, service staff, and management.
  • Assist with other branch functions, including Parts and Rental support, as needed.
  • Attend training sessions as requested to maintain and improve technical skills.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
