About The Position
The Mascot Performer is responsible for engaging and entertaining guests while representing Mountain Creek in a professional manner. We are seeking an animated person who can provide high-energy to our character during daily on-site appearances at Mountain Creek. A warm and engaging personality is a must. This role requires that the candidate be capable of handling the physical demands of the costume.
Requirements
- Must be reliable to report to work on-time and to work in assigned area independently
- Strong interpersonal and nonverbal communication skills; all interactions are respectful and appropriate for the audience
- Comfortable with crowds and public interaction
- Due to costume restrictions, applicants must be between 5’8” and 6’0”
- Can lift up to 25 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Prior mascot experience is a plus
- Strong people skills and ability to engage with individuals of all backgrounds and ages, especially children
Responsibilities
- Perform as the official mascot of Mountain Creek
- Engage guests and encourage interaction
- Maintain costume and props
- Must wear and perform in assigned mascot costume at all times while working
- Work in all weather conditions while wearing the mascot costume
