About the position
Mosaic Life Care is a health care system in northwest Missouri. This position is responsible for providing health care services in the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings, within scope of education and experience. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and customer service. This position works under the supervision of the Manager and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Responsibilities
- Accurately performs and reports laboratory results in timely manner.
- Properly identifies patients without exception prior to specimen collection.
- Properly collects, labels, processes and preserves specimens in a timely manner.
- Orders necessary supplies or notifies the person responsible for ordering them.
- Operates equipment; maintains quality control.
- Performs routine office duties such as coding, order entry, charges, reports and filing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification by approved accredited phlebotomy course is preferred.
