About The Position

The Marketing and Sales Coordinator supports the company’s marketing, branding, communications, and sales support initiatives while working closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, visually creative, confident, and relationship-oriented. They are comfortable communicating with internal teams, clients, prospects, vendors, and industry contacts. This role is well suited for someone who has a strong professional presence, enjoys connecting with people, and can help create the initial “opening” for the Sales and Leadership teams to build relationships and close opportunities.

Requirements

  • Hold a diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Bring 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, content creation, sales coordination, business development support, or a coordinator role.
  • Experience in construction, real estate, architecture, or design is a strong asset.
  • Be creative, hands-on, and highly organized, with a strong eye for visual storytelling and brand consistency.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can represent the company professionally with clients, vendors, prospects, and industry contacts.
  • Be confident, personable, and comfortable initiating professional conversations through calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, event follow-ups, networking opportunities, and engagement with potential clients.
  • Have experience supporting social media content, marketing collateral, project storytelling, and/or sales materials.
  • Have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines with ease.
  • Be excited about helping shape how BUILD IT is represented across social media, job sites, fleet branding, recruitment initiatives, client presentations, and business development opportunities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, website CMS platforms, social media scheduling tools, CRM systems, SEO basics, and AI-enabled content tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Update the company website with relevant content, project updates, and announcements.
  • Support the management of social media accounts, ensuring consistent and engaging content that aligns with the company’s brand.
  • Develop and update marketing collateral such as brochures, posters, banners, presentations, one-pagers, project profiles, and other branded materials.
  • Help ensure brand consistency across all company materials, platforms, templates, signage, and client-facing documents.
  • Support the production, ordering, tracking, and distribution of company-branded merchandise.
  • Assist with capturing and organizing project photos, videos, testimonials, employee spotlights, and other content for use across marketing and sales channels.
  • Support recruitment marketing initiatives by helping create content that highlights BUILD IT’s culture, people, projects, and employer brand.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to prospective clients, industry contacts, and business partners through calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking events, and other approved channels.
  • Create initial points of contact and help open the door for the Sales, Business Development, and Leadership teams to further develop relationships and opportunities.
  • Support lead generation by researching potential clients, maintaining prospect lists, and tracking new business opportunities.
  • Assist with introductions, follow-ups, and coordination of next steps after outreach activities, networking events, trade shows, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Prepare and organize marketing materials, presentations, project profiles, case studies, proposal packages, and other sales support documents.
  • Support targeted sales campaigns by helping prepare client communications, follow-up materials, and outreach content.
  • Maintain accurate sales-related information, including prospect lists, CRM updates, client notes, pipeline information, and follow-up tracking.
  • Coordinate logistics for client meetings, trade shows, conferences, networking events, and other business development activities.
  • Help ensure sales materials are current, polished, brand-aligned, and ready for use in client conversations and business development opportunities.
  • Coordinate the creation, ordering, delivery, and installation of site boards, signage, graphics, banners, and promotional materials for project sites.
  • Support office-wide outreach initiatives, including corporate social responsibility activities, employee events, and client events, etc.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to support project-site branding, signage, marketing materials, and other operational needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with different departments to fulfill marketing, communication, sales, and business development support needs.
  • Track and report marketing performance metrics, including engagement, website traffic, campaign performance, content performance, and lead generation where applicable.
  • Assist with tracking sales and marketing activity, including outreach efforts, event participation, proposal support, follow-up items, opportunities created, and next steps.
