About the position

The Marketing Analytics Intern at Carter's will gain hands-on experience by contributing to real-world business projects alongside a team of Analysts and Data Scientists. This role focuses on supporting marketing decisions and strategies through performance marketing analytics, customer interactions, and personalization efforts. The intern will build analytical products that provide insights into consumer transactions, helping to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reporting to provide marketing leadership clear visibility to marketing program performance.
  • Synthesize data to provide trend metrics to identify opportunities for the business.
  • Provide forward-looking analytics and reporting to provide visibility for business planning and marketing plan development.
  • Address Ad Hoc analytics requests across marketing, omni-channel and customer behavior subject areas.
  • Work with marketing and ecommerce teams to develop learning agendas and support testing plans to provide sound test results to help evolve the business performance.
  • Support personalization efforts by designing and testing various activities that drive desired customer actions, and continuously optimize performance based on test results.
  • Maintain efficient database and reporting dataflows through sound data engineering approaches.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Master's Level degree related to Marketing, STEM, or a related field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 GPA or higher strongly preferred).
  • General familiarity with SQL and database systems.
  • Flexible communication style to collaborate with multiple stakeholders from varying backgrounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity and interest in working with Python.
  • Adaptive in work style to support analytics shared service and center of excellence in supporting Marketing and Retail teams.
