About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas is responsible for overseeing branding, marketing, and communication efforts. This role involves collaborating with internal staff and community members to manage marketing initiatives, support fundraising efforts, and serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization. The position is full-time and reports directly to the Chief Development Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes an atmosphere of warmth, understanding, and compliance with compassion; maintains supportive and open communication with families.
  • Develops and implements RMHC messaging for program and event marketing and production, including working with staff to identify and create family stories.
  • Supports fundraising and program efforts through the development of physical and digital marketing collateral, e-mail/digital outreach, and/or direct mail.
  • Manages digital media, including social media messaging (Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn), YouTube/video, e-newsletter, and e-blasts.
  • Utilizes social media to connect with the community to showcase families and RMHC programs while promoting volunteer, program, and fundraising needs.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the organization's marketing plan, calendar, and budget.
  • Represents Chapter to various audiences as the media spokesperson in a professional manner consistent with the image and mission of RMHC.
  • Supports events, activities, and programs by coordinating photography and media needs, spokespersons, RMHC family speakers, and preparing talking points.
  • Produces the Annual Impact Report and House Families Report, coordinating with other team members to gather information and articles.
  • Supports RMHC Community Relations Committee Chair by coordinating, managing, and providing administrative assistance for all regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Coordinates public relations efforts, including writing and distributing press advisories and press releases.
  • Designs and lays out advertising, working with placement media regarding deadlines and ad specifications.
  • Builds long-term media relationships and develops and maintains media contacts to ensure a positive presence in the community.
  • Orders RMHC marketing merchandise and/or logo wear as needed for staff, volunteers, programs, and events.
  • Oversees and manages the RMHC website, including maintaining, enhancing, and identifying needs.
  • Collaborates with RMHC Global regarding influencer activations, corporate partnership promotion, and branding.
  • Oversees local branding of materials, communications, and outreach to internal and external communities.
  • Provides marketing support, guidance, and advice to the RMHC Red Shoe Society.
  • Creates, manages, reconciles, and adheres to budgets, records, and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing, public relations, or communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with social media management and digital marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in nonprofit marketing or fundraising.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software and website management.
  • Knowledge of community engagement strategies.
