About the position

Melbourne Flight Training is seeking a motivated Marketing Coordinator to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the company's objectives. The role requires a proactive individual with experience in various marketing functions, particularly within the aviation industry. The Marketing Coordinator will manage multiple projects, conduct market research, and ensure that all marketing efforts contribute to both immediate and long-term business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular competitive analysis by evaluating internal and external factors that affect our business.
  • Develop and implement a marketing calendar by identifying and scheduling promotional opportunities.
  • Set and document marketing goals with a clear plan to measure and report success.
  • Work directly with the finance department to set and utilize a marketing budget.
  • Design or supervise the design of promotional material consistent with our Style Guide.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals.
  • Identify and execute improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.
  • Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels.
  • Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the leadership team.
  • Plan and manage meetings, conferences, trade shows, air shows, and other relevant events.
  • Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field
  • Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
  • Experience with research using data analytics software
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity
  • Experience and/or interest in the aviation industry

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and Salesforce
  • Working knowledge of design and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Experience working with budgets and forecasting
