About The Position

The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the execution of marketing, communications, public relations, and business development initiatives across the organization. This role assists with content creation, video production, social media management, event and tradeshow coordination, public relations activities, and proposal development. The position provides an excellent opportunity for a developing marketing professional to gain broad exposure across multiple disciplines while contributing to organizational growth and brand awareness.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, event planning, content development, or related fields.
  • Internship experience may be considered in lieu of professional experience.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and digital marketing platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common marketing technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Content writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors.
  • Creative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow across multiple marketing disciplines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of video concepts, storyboards, scripts, and production plans.
  • Coordinate scheduling, filming logistics, reviews, and approvals for video projects.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external production vendors to support video creation and distribution.
  • Create captions, promotional copy, and support content for video campaigns.
  • Coordinate publication of video content across social media and digital channels.
  • Support planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, sponsorships, and corporate events.
  • Coordinate registrations, logistics, vendor communications, event materials, and schedules.
  • Assist with administrative activities, tracking deadlines, contracts, and event documentation.
  • Support event follow-up activities, reporting, and attendee engagement initiatives.
  • Create and schedule content across social media platforms.
  • Assist with social media campaigns supporting marketing, communications, PR, and business initiatives.
  • Monitor engagement and support community management efforts.
  • Coordinate social promotion of events, videos, press releases, and corporate announcements.
  • Track and report on social media performance metrics.
  • Develop and edit marketing and communications content for digital and print channels.
  • Assist with blogs, website content, newsletters, sales collateral, and thought leadership materials.
  • Research industry topics and collaborate with subject matter experts to create compelling content.
  • Ensure consistency with brand standards and messaging guidelines.
  • Assist with drafting press releases, media announcements, and communication materials.
  • Support media outreach and coordination activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to maximize visibility of PR initiatives.
  • Assist with online review monitoring and reputation management activities.
  • Assist in preparing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other business development materials.
  • Coordinate proposal timelines, content collection, and document preparation.
  • Maintain proposal content libraries and support documentation.
  • Ensure proposal submissions are accurate, professional, and submitted on time.
