About the position

Glenmede hosts in-person and virtual events throughout the year of varying levels of complexity. The Marketing and Events Officer is responsible for executing these events and conference sponsorships, with the potential to oversee marketing projects and campaigns across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and lead discussions with business lines to determine and implement a strategic plan for all in-person and virtual events.
  • Understand how specific objectives impact logistics and plan accordingly to ensure a high-quality experience.
  • Establish and report on clear KPI's to determine event effectiveness/success.
  • Determine best practices and improvements based on objective data, subjective feedback and present findings to leadership.
  • Create audit structure and process of event data for future reference.
  • Create and manage all event/conference project plans including event logistics, budget planning, and necessary materials.
  • Establish templates and requirements for promotional collateral ensuring a successful event.
  • Own distribution lists and reports for all event communications.
  • Proactively debrief internal stakeholders with clear details and actionable items to stay on schedule.
  • Oversee the onsite event execution, set-up/breakdowns, registration, AV and equipment, troubleshoot potential live issues that arise.
  • Manage virtual events and facilitation of recordings, promotion and registration, follow-up communications, and reporting.
  • Routinely assess activities to determine new ideas that will broaden opportunities through special events.
  • Assist on a variety of marketing materials including email campaigns, promotional and educational collateral, website updates, advertising, and presentations.
  • Active engagement and accountability in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, marketing, business administration, communication/public relations or other related area required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of event management experience in a professional industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of CRM systems; Salesforce.com and HubSpot preferred.
  • Proven experience in email automation, registration process, and ROI reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven initiative and follow-through.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
