About The Position

The Marina Attendant reports to the Marina Supervisor who has the authority to add to, subtract from or otherwise change the Marina Attendant responsibilities and skill set necessary to manage the day-to-day operations of the Big Canoe POA amenity.

Requirements

  • High school or GED.
  • Good customer relations and communicative skills.
  • Good communicative skills to be able to interact with property owners and guest.
  • Possess the physical ability to perform tasks such as carrying paddle boards to and from racks, replacement of batteries, power wash boats, etc.with ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of small watercraft and pontoons so as to be able to explain operational protocols relative to the craft.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to interact with customers even under difficult circumstances.
  • Possess basic computer skills for handling point of sale (POS) and making reservations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simple maintenance such as cleaning pontoons and water craft so as to be pleasing to property owners and guests prior to boarding.
  • Explain operational protocols relative to the craft as to boarding and un boarding of customers.
  • Give lake protocol usage instructions to property owners and guests prior to their going onto the lake.
  • Maintain the life jacket storage area in an orderly condition.
  • Maintain the Marina seating areas in an orderly and clean condition.
