Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and adjust equipment using appropriate tools and procedures.
• Keep mill operating according to operating procedures and in good condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of the mill and surrounding area, keeping it clear of obstructions.
• Perform all changeovers using appropriate tooling.
• Meet machine goals consistently.
• Train others as needed.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow all safety rules and operational procedures, including Lockout Procedures as required by mill specific Lockout JSA.
• Wear and maintain all appropriate PPE as required.
• Understand and operate all safety devices, notifying management of any malfunctions or missing devices before machine operation.
• Conduct quality checks, including routine checks for part dimensions using appropriate tools.
• Maintain all quality paperwork in a legible manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and notify maintenance personnel of any machine issues that could affect production or safety.
• Assist maintenance personnel as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station.
• Direct, assist, and train helpers in necessary functions.
• Complete all necessary paperwork.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow them diligently.
• Experience in performing quality checks and maintaining quality documentation.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and assist maintenance personnel.
