About the position

The Manufacturing Services Technician at Rolls-Royce is responsible for providing support to the Manufacturing Services Leader and Engineer, ensuring that the organization's manufacturing goals are met. This role involves performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on manufacturing assets and production equipment in production or assembly and test facilities. The technician plays a crucial role in maintaining equipment safety, availability, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing assets and production equipment.
  • Coordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities with production staff and communicate regularly with production supporters and operators.
  • Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, circuit diagrams, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogs for maintenance and diagnostics.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures, and implement these improvements as necessary.
  • Work with site manufacturing engineers to restore equipment performance to standard and operate site-specific equipment safely.
  • Process work orders and pull reports from the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with 4+ years of mechanical and/or electronics experience, OR Associate degree with 3+ years of Mechanical and/or Electronics Experience.
  • Electrical experience and mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant time served apprenticeship.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic values and operation.
  • Basic IT literacy.
  • Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations.
