About The Position

Provides maintenance support for the plant. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, including motors, relays, and switches on varied machinery up to and including three phases 480-volt energy. The technician will also perform preventive maintenance, maintain records, and serve as a point person for production personnel regarding equipment issues and troubleshooting. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and other related equipment, as well as maintaining and refilling parts inventory. Prompt response to and resolution of unplanned equipment failures is crucial. Effective communication with machine operators and supervisors regarding equipment issues and safety concerns is also a key aspect of this role. The technician must properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment and be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues, performing related tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years in Industrial Maintenance required.
  • Extensive knowledge troubleshooting and issue resolution of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, circuitry, PLC, AC/DC drives, and welding fabrication required.
  • Intermediate math and computer skills and English written communication skills necessary.
  • Demonstrates proper usage of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lifting up to 70 lbs., and work in hot environments on a constant basis.
  • Ability to meet objectives and deadlines with minimum supervision required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance and maintains records to ensure safe, reliable equipment.
  • Serves as point person for production personnel in regard to preventative maintenance and problem equipment troubleshooting.
  • Diagnoses and repairs forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and other related equipment.
  • Maintains and refills parts inventory.
  • Provides prompt response to and resolution of unplanned equipment failures resulting in production down time.
  • Effectively communicates with machine operators and supervisors including equipment issues and safety concerns and in fractions.
  • Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Related tasks as requested by supervisor.
