Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering required
  • 2–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in CREO and Teamcenter Visualization Basic
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis, problem solving, and process troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across production, engineering, and vendor teams
  • Ability to develop clear documentation, work instructions, and training materials
  • Hands‑on approach with a focus on continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence
  • Capable of working independently and as a team member
  • Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
  • Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Desire to work on a variety of projects

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize manufacturing processes within the Chassis Welding department to improve safety, quality, and throughput
  • Lead hands‑on root cause problem solving for weld‑related quality issues and implement effective corrective actions
  • Partner with production teams to troubleshoot welding concerns and provide technical guidance on process improvements
  • Develop and improve tooling, fixtures, and weld process methods to enhance manufacturability and efficiency
  • Create clear work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials for production teams
  • Participate in safety incident investigations and support development of technical countermeasures
  • Collaborate with vendors and cross‑functional teams to implement process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
  • Contribute to projects that impact communities in Fargo, ND, West Fargo, ND, Moorhead, MN, Dilworth, MN, Glyndon, MN, Horace, ND, Harwood, ND, Mapleton, ND, and the greater Fargo-Moorhead metro
