About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer I here, you’ll be part of our engineering team working as an onsite employee…develops, evaluates and enhances manufacturing methods for aerospace machined components, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, lean principles, assembly methods and quality control standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent hands-on applicable experience
  • Minimum 1+ years of engineering experience.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite products, and strong knowledge of Solidworks or other modeling software.
  • Knowledge of CNC manufacturing & aerospace standards, AS9100, GD&T, fixturing and gaging methods.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing, especially using titanium and/or nickel based superalloys.

Nice To Haves

  • Statistical process control experience in the aerospace industry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Assist with creating and maintaining work instructions, routers, and standard operating procedures
  • Support process changes, validations and shop-floor improvements
  • Participating in NPI, FAI, and Continuous Improvement Projects
  • Collects and analyzes basic manufacturing data (cycle time, scrap rate, yield)
  • Reviews and implements manufacturing drawing and engineering change notices
  • Support Cost-Reduction and Efficiency initiatives
  • Participates in PFMEA, Process Capability, and RCCA studies
