About the position
The Manufacturing Associate Manager - Pulp is responsible for providing direct supervision for the Pulp Mill and Woodyard Department, ensuring optimal performance in safety, environmental compliance, quality, and efficiency. This role involves leading a team to meet production targets and implementing lean manufacturing practices while managing the overall shift performance according to established key performance indicators (KPIs).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct on-shift supervision for the Pulp Mill and Woodyard Department.
- Accountable for overall shift performance in accordance with established KPIs including safety, environmental compliance, housekeeping, quality, and efficiency.
- Plan and control the production of fiber for the paper machines against operating targets.
- Lead 5S and lean manufacturing programs to ensure departmental goals are met.
- Ensure completion of all required paperwork, schedules, work orders, etc.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in pulp operations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent pulp/paper experience.
Nice-to-haves
- SAP experience preferred.
