About the position

McGee Air Services is searching for an experienced aviation leader to join us as the Managing Director - Strategy & Transformation based at our World Headquarters in Renton, WA. The Managing Director - Strategy & Transformation will drive McGee's long-term strategic vision, optimizing business operations, leading transformation initiatives, and ensuring seamless execution across all cross-functional projects. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's growth, improving operational efficiency, and aligning business functions to meet strategic goals. This position is ideal for an experienced leader with a proven ability to develop and execute strategies that foster business growth, streamline operations, and lead organizational change. A deep understanding of airline, airport, and ground handling industries along with the ability to drive innovation and digital transformation is essential. This position reports directly to the President of McGee Air Services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of McGee Air Services' corporate strategy
• Analyze market trends and assess industry dynamics to identify new opportunities for growth, expansion, and operational improvement
• Drive initiatives to transform the operating model, focusing on revenue growth, cost management, and increasing profitability across business lines
• Translate high-level strategic objectives into actionable projects, utilizing data and market insights to inform decision-making
• Partner with business leaders to spearhead digital transformation and technological innovation
• Cultivate a culture of agility and continuous improvement, ensuring teams remain adaptable to changes in processes, systems, and organizational structures
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and innovation within teams, aligning them with the company's values and long-term vision
• Craft and implement a dynamic communication strategy that effectively communicates McGee's corporate culture, strategic priorities, and achievements
• Oversee core business functions, including facilities management, procurement, and uniform programs
• Lead IT strategy, ensuring technological solutions are aligned with McGee's business strategy and provide measurable performance improvements
• Spearhead the Data Analytics function, leveraging data insights to drive business outcomes and inform strategic decision-making
• Ensure effective resource planning to maximize efficiency and business results through technology-driven solutions
• Fosters and maintains an environment and culture that exemplifies McGee's values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability and Pride.
• Performs additional duties as required for the success of the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (MBA or advanced degree is a plus), or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, high impact projects across diverse business units
• Prior experience in a senior leadership role in the airline, airport or ground services industry strongly preferred
• Experience working with labor unions, collective bargaining agreements and related workforce topics a plus
