The Manager V role, selected by and reporting directly to the Operations Director for Community Engagement within Community Access, is pivotal in driving the success of the SNAP Outreach and Texas Works Paths to Success programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead with vision and impact, overseeing the entirety of these programs with advanced, senior-level consultative services. The Texas Works Paths to Success Program is dedicated to reducing the impact of situational and generational poverty. Our mission is to increase participants' economic self-reliance, housing stability, and educational advancement. We achieve this by partnering with internal stakeholders, local agencies, and high schools to deliver training and educational opportunities. These initiatives empower participants to build a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities. Upon successful completion, participants are guaranteed full-time careers with personal and professional growth opportunities within an HHSC local area benefit eligibility office. The Texas SNAP Outreach State Plan aims to bring awareness about the SNAP program to Texas communities and assist potentially eligible individuals in applying for benefits. By partnering with community organizations, our Outreach Program performs activities that inform low-income households about SNAP's availability, eligibility requirements, and application procedures. We focus on increasing the utilization of self-service tools to empower individuals to access the benefits they need. Our mission is to create opportunities for low-income households to understand and access SNAP benefits. Our vision is to establish a statewide network of community organizations supporting Texans in their pursuit of economic and personal self-sufficiency.
