About the position
The Manager Trainee (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role designed to prepare individuals for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. The role involves a combination of work assignments and training opportunities, with the potential for progression to a management position within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance. MITs are integral members of the management team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in various operational aspects of the store while delivering exceptional customer service and driving store performance.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in overall store operations and management.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and drive store execution and performance.
- Maintain an engaged and productive store team through strong leadership.
- Manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.
- Oversee employee staffing, training, and development.
- Manage inventory effectively.
- Complete operations and management skills training.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of previous experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
- Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including morning, night, and weekend shifts.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
- Previous automotive experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience analyzing company financials including Profit and Loss Statement preferred, but not required.
