About the position

The Global Sourcing team supports key categories of goods and services across Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) including Technology, Professional Services, Corporate Services/Facilities, Travel, Marketing, Production, and Content Distribution. The Sourcing Manager will support Marketing Content Distribution projects and will work cross-functionally as a trusted advisor supporting projects that drive value, cost savings, process improvement, and supplier excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience in each aspect of the end-to-end source-to-contract process starting from opportunity identification, spend baselining, RFx, contract negotiation and renewals, financial review, and supplier management. Candidate must have an agile mindset and have demonstrate competency and character that is fair, inclusive, consistent, transparent and accountable. Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead sourcing strategies for the procurement of Marketing and Content Distribution.
  • Proactively monitor and understand the market and identify opportunities resulting from new product offerings and/or market shifts.
  • Perform spend analysis to identify trends and opportunities to drive value.
  • Develop and manage RFx using bid management platform.
  • Develop strategy and lead negotiation process.
  • Quantify the baseline value of goods and services being sourced.
  • Manage relationships with internal SPE stakeholders and coordinate sourcing strategies.
  • Manage external supplier relationships and monitor agreement expirations for renewal.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the sourcing process.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of corporate procurement/purchasing/sourcing or similar experience.
  • Experience in negotiating both domestic and international agreements.
  • Track record of delivering significant and measurable value in a large, complex, and fast-moving organization.
  • Experience in Media and Entertainment, or Technology-based industries preferred.
  • Familiarity or subject matter expertise in one or more relevant sourcing categories is an advantage.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and proactively.
  • Affinity for movies, television, entertainment and media.

Nice-to-haves

  • Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance or Business preferred.
  • CPM/CPSM or other similar certifications preferred but not essential.
