About the position

The Revenue Management Manager is a pivotal role in shaping, implementing, and enhancing the pricing strategy for GoTo Foods' seven iconic brands: Auntie Anne's, Carvel, Cinnabon, Jamba, McAlister's, Moe's, and Schlotzsky's. This dynamic position involves executing innovative pricing strategies by analyzing sales and pricing metrics, developing detailed pricing recommendations, and presenting compelling methodologies to various stakeholders. Additionally, this role will spearhead the analytics efforts for the Revenue Management team, serving as the pricing data expert and managing both recurring and ad-hoc analysis projects.

Responsibilities

  • Complete major pricing implementations for each brand by analyzing metrics and trends, creating detailed pricing guidance customized for each location, and building presentations to share pricing insights with brand leadership and franchisees.
  • Conduct analyses and develop presentations to recommend optimal pricing for new menu items, combos, and limited-time promotions.
  • Create detailed analyses to measure pricing effectiveness, including restaurant sales/traffic performance, mix shifts, profit impact, and adoption of pricing guidance.
  • Serve as the expert for all pricing data, understanding the data points available from various sources and how menu items and prices are configured in point-of-sale systems.
  • Design, build, and implement machine learning algorithms using Azure Databricks to provide pricing inputs, such as demand elasticity.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance pricing optimization models used to create location-specific pricing guidance, ensuring they are robust and scalable.
  • Manage cross-functional projects to implement technology solutions, such as new interfaces for submitting pricing changes or integrations to update prices in point-of-sale systems.
  • Propose tools, systems and data that can improve the quality and efficiency of future strategic pricing capabilities.
  • Foster enthusiasm for Revenue Management throughout the organization by educating others on the importance of a strategic pricing approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with an analytical focus (Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline) (required).
  • 2+ years experience in a Pricing/Revenue Management role with expertise in building pricing models, measuring price elasticity, and delivering pricing guidance to stakeholders.
  • 3+ years experience in an analytical role with expertise in advanced analytical techniques (e.g., descriptive statistics, machine learning, optimization, pattern recognition, cluster analysis, segmentation analysis, etc.).
  • Experience with analytical tools and languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Spark SQL, etc.).
  • Experience handling large data sets and using data transformation tools (e.g., Azure Databricks).
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to recognize patterns and anomalies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with experience in summarizing complex information and adapting message to different audiences.
  • Skilled in managing complex projects that require working with cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks, managing tight deadlines, prioritizing competing demands, and achieving results in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree with a related focus (preferred).
  • Prior experience within the restaurant or retail industry is a plus.
